In this course (formerly Secure Access), you will learn how FortiGate, FortiAP, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, and FortiAuthenticator enable secure connectivity over wired and wireless networks. You will also learn how to provision, administer, monitor, and secure network access using FortiAP, FortiSwitch, and centralized management on FortiManager.

Who should attend

Networking and security professionals involved in the design, administration, and management of FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAP, FortiSwitch, and Wireless Manager devices used to secure access to their organization’s resources should attend this course.


You must have an understanding of the topics covered in the following courses, or have equivalent experience:

FortiGate Security- NSE4 (FORT-SECI)
FortiGate Infrastructure- NSE4 (FORT-INFRA)
FortiManager- NSE 5 (FORT-MANAGER)
FortiAp – NSE 6 – Secure Wireless LAN (FORTIAP)
NSE 6 FortiSwitch
FortiAuthenticator – NSE6 (FORT-AUTHENTICATOR)

System Requirements If you take the online format of this class, you must use a computer that has the following:

  • A highspeed Internet connection
  • An upto-date web browser
  • A PDF viewer
  • Speakers or headphones

One of the following:

  • HTML5 support
  • An upto-date Java Runtime Environment (JRE) with Java plugin enabled in your web browser

You should use a wired Ethernet connection, not a WiFi connection. Firewalls, including Windows Firewall or FortiClient, must allow connections to the online labs.
