AOS-CX Switching Fundamentals is the entry-level course for network engineers beginning to work with HPE Aruba AOS-CX switches. Students learn the AOS-CX operating system architecture, how to perform initial switch setup, configure VLANs and trunks, implement spanning tree protocols, and set up basic Layer 3 routing. The course includes hands-on labs to reinforce each configuration topic.
What You Will Learn
- Navigate the AOS-CX CLI and web UI to manage switch configuration and operations
- Configure VLANs, access ports, trunk ports, and LAG (Link Aggregation Groups)
- Implement Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP/RSTP) for loop prevention and fast convergence
- Configure basic Layer 3 routing including SVIs, static routes, and OSPF fundamentals
- Monitor switch health and use AOS-CX diagnostic tools for basic troubleshooting
